OK, so I'm a little bit late on this one but I've been slowly working my way through a large backlog of music. Anyway young Pittsburgh upstart and XXL Freshman 2011, Mac Miller recently dropped his latest mixtape entitled "Best Day Ever". On this tape Mac rocks over all-original production which is a good change from his previous releases and shows that the kid can command songs and not just recyled beats. He also enlists some famous friends for the release, with Phonte (of Little Brother) popping up on the track "I'll Be There" and production coming courtesy of the likes of Just Blaze, Khrysis & Chuck Inglish (of The Cool Kids). His rhymes may not be the deepest stuff you've ever heard, but the kids definitely got skills and I need to emphasise the word 'kid' because he's still only 19 years old and he can only get even better from here. Artwork, track-list and download links after the jump.

Also do yourself a favour and cop Mac's previous mixtape KIDS. This tape got many repeat plays from me after it came out and it's a very, very solid release. As an extra bonus I've also thrown the video for "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" off of the tape below. This particular song is one of my favourites and it's got Mac rocking over a classic Lord Finesse beat, plus the video is pretty dope and reminds me of those lazy summer days we all know and love.
